Laura Brooks | President
Laura Brooks is the President and Lead Licensed Agent and Retirement Specialist at The Willis Agency, with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.
Laura worked alongside Jim Willis, founder of the agency, for eight years. During that time, she learned the values and client-first principles that built the firm’s strong reputation. When Jim retired, Laura proudly stepped into leadership to continue his mission of helping clients create secure, confident retirements.
She is passionate about helping individuals and families gain clarity, confidence, and peace of mind as they navigate their retirement journey.
Laura is married to Michael Brooks, and together they have two daughters, Taylor and Reese. On weekends, the Brooks family enjoys spending time together, often relaxing with loved ones or enjoying the Florida sunshine at the beach.
Michael Brooks | Vice President
Michael Brooks is a licensed agent at The Willis Agency and husband to Laura Brooks. Before transitioning into the retirement planning field, Michael worked for a large insurance company handling injury claims. Prior to his insurance career, he spent 21 years in the restaurant industry as a project manager, partner, and entrepreneur, specializing in budgeting and profit-and-loss analysis.
With a strong background in financial management, Michael excels in helping clients build practical, sustainable retirement strategies.
Our Founder | Jim Willis
Jim Willis founded The Willis Agency in 1988, to help residents in Pasco County with their insurance and retirement planning needs. After decades of serving his community, Jim is now retired.
He resides in Wesley Chapel with his wife, Candi. In retirement, Jim enjoys family outings, church mission trips, golf, tennis, mountain biking, and traveling.
